Anehnya, kalau ada yang sarangnya rusak (bukan hanya bolong, tapi hancur; terutama berkat ulah tukang kebun), mereka membangun lagi sarang baru persis di lokasi sarang lama mereka. Bahkan lebih dari itu, kalau ada yang mati, selalu ada laba2 baru yang menggantikan di posisi laba2 yang mati tersebut. Posisi sarang2 tersebut pun selalu di titik2 yang sama; 1 di dekat garasi mobil (yang satu ini umurnya cukup tua, ukurannya pun cukup besar, hampir sebesar telapak tangan orang dewasa), 1 di sisi sebelah kanan atas depan pintu rumah, 2 tepat di atas tangga batu menuju pintu rumah saya. For me, VJing is more than projecting real time combined images on a screen. I’d like to look at it as a creation process of an evolving visual experience/universe. There's at least two important factor for this process to commence. First, the gap between spectator/performer, stage/seat, premeditated/spontaneous, mine/yours etc should be obliterated. To rebuild something we have to destroy/deconstruct the initial form and limitations. Second, interaction and respond is imminent. By doing so, we have created a moebius loop, where an idea would move back and forth, left and right, passed from person to person, then evolve and change while being so. And that is Real Time Interaction. Vocals, arrangements, melodies and lyrics may remind one of the pop music of someone like Kid Montana or Aztec Camera. But what do you say when you find out that the person who made this music has just nothing in common anymore with the references we could possibly establish and that everyday history has placed him somewhere else completely? How do you proceed when it becomes clear that his music does not connect to those references from your own past and the seemingly detectable comparisons are nothing more than an awkward sheet anchor to put into words what you hear because we simply have forgotten how to see music as what it actually is, namely an accumulation of sounds brought to life by someone who tells a new and personal story through it?
